Tabriz, in Iran’s northwestern region, is the country’s second-oldest city and has been at the heart of the rug-making industry for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. Because of the sheer magnitude of the Tabriz rug industry, design and quality vary widely. It is one of the oldest rug weaving centres in the world, producing a wide range of carpets. Rug Description

• Hand knotted wool Tabriz comes with a grand central medallion on a calm red field.
• The dominating red field has a calm aura about it. In addition to central medallion and four floral motifs, the rug features beautiful design of multicolour floral tiles in opposite directions.
• Midnight blue borders with flower patterned vines provide beautiful contrast. In terms of its elegance and floral nature, this is a typical Tabriz rug. The size of the rug is 9.7 x 6.7 feet.
• The colours used for the thread are made from natural dyes that are extracted from vegetables.
• PSI count of the rug is 150 x 90.
