Turkmenistan is well-known around the world for its exquisite carpets, which have been woven by Turkmen weavers for centuries. Dark reds dominate Turkmen rugs, which are dominated by repeating blue or black and ivory ‘gul’ print designs. These  gul patterns are also referred to as Tekke design.

Rug Description

• Stunning red Turkmen rug with black Tekke design motifs on crimson field. The palettes have geometrical & abstract patterns whereas the charcoal grey fringes give the rug a beautiful contrast. 
• This Turkmen is Hand Knotted & Handmade from 100% Wool. The size of the rug is 9.8 x 6.8 feet.
• The colours used for the thread are made from natural dyes that are extracted from vegetables.
• PSI count of the rug is 140 x 90.
