Turkmenistan is well-known around the world for its exquisite carpets, which have been woven by Turkmen weavers for centuries. Dark reds dominate Turkmen rugs, which are dominated by repeating blue or black and ivory ‘gul’ print designs. These  gul patterns are also referred to as Tekke design.

Rug Description

• Beautiful Turkmen rug with allover Tekke design motifs on red clay field. The borders with their abstract patterns create great harmony and follow the same theme as central body.
• This Turkmen is Hand Knotted & Handmade from Kurk Wool, the finest Persian wool. The size of the rug is 9.5 x 6.5 feet.
• The colours used for the thread are made from natural dyes that are extracted from vegetables.
• PSI count of the rug is 100 x 75.
