Turkmenistan is well-known around the world for its exquisite carpets, which have been woven by Turkmen weavers for centuries. Dark reds dominate Turkmen rugs, which are dominated by repeating blue or black and ivory ‘gul’ print designs. These  gul patterns are also referred to as Tekke design.

Rug Description

• Beautiful Turkmen rug with allover Tekke design motifs on deep maroon field. The borders with their abstract patterns create great harmony and provide a calm contrast.
• This Turkmen is Hand Knotted from Kurk Wool, the finest Persian wool. The size of the rug is 11 x 7 feet.
• The colours used for the thread are made from natural dyes that are extracted from vegetables.
• Per Square Inch thread count of the rug is 100 x 75.
