Origin
Chobi was invented in Lahore, and weaving centers were established along thePakistan-Afghanistan border. A typical Chobi rug comprises of a border pattern withfloral motifs and a middle field with a larger floral pattern. In most rugs, three to fivedifferent colors are used, with the most popular colors being varying hues of softer,warmer reds, browns, and greens, with the most common background color beingvarious shades of beige or cream.
